John Creighton

John’s School Board Blog was my first blog.  I began writing it when I announced my candidacy for the St. Vrain Valley Board of Education in August 2007.  As of this week, I have served two years of a four year term.

My purpose in writing a school board blog is to engage people in a conversation.  I’m still learning how to accomplish that goal.  Like many elected officials who have blogs and Twitter accounts, my posts tend to be more broadcast than conversation.  I hope to become a more effective blog conversation leader over the next two years.

I will use the B.O.E. section of “JohnCr8on on Community Life and Public Leadership” as a place to collect my school board posts.  I will continue to do some broadcast posts – sharing insights, experiences and actions of the St. Vrain Valley School Board.  I also plan to post questions and solicit comments from readers.  I hope you will join me in a conversation.
